As the Captain of Team Causing a Stir, I am incredibly proud to lead a crew of paddlers who are dedicated to making waves for belonging. While our overall event goal of $125,000 is ambitious—powered by 50 paddlers raising $2,500 each—the true heart of this journey lies in the specific faces and names I hold close with every stroke of my paddle.

The team paddles for a purpose, and these are the people who give me mine:

• My cousin Tim's daughter, Megan: Who Matt and I lovingly care for—and for all our friends that are born with unique physical and cognitive abilities. They see and experience the world beautifully, and deserve every opportunity to splash, play, and truly belong without barriers.

• My Cousin, April: Who faced the cruelest physical challenges of juvenile diabetes with incredible courage. She taught me what true strength looks like, and her memory paddles right along with me.

• My Friends, Raul, Schuyler, and Sammy: Whose lives were changed in a single split second by devastating accidents, and whose daily courage reminds me why accessible spaces like StirringWaters must exist.

Water has a magical way of neutralizing gravity, pain, and physical limitations. It offers pure freedom—and StirringWaters will finally bring that freedom to Megan, Raul, Schuyler, Sammy, Megan, and thousands of others.

I’ve committed to raising my personal portion of our goal, and I need your help to get across the finish line.
